Thanks *much* for the Mac OS Google PageRank widget! And it is much easier to read than the Google toolbar. I have a new project that will involve me checking the page rank of a lot of pages, and was very happy to come across your tool while searching for something else.
Much appreciated, nice job!

Yea it's a nice widget, to bad I switched to Firefox. ;) I still have a PR widget though along with lots of other cool extensions!!
Oh and Konfabilulator (whatever) is out for PC now so Shawn can make it cross platform. ;)

Hi guys,
I'm still using the Mac PR Widget, and love it. I'm using it to create listing of my members at Links-For-You.com. Some of them are complaining that the PR listing I assign them is inaccurate. At first I didn't think much about it, but it's becoming a routine.
Running Windows is difficult here, that's why I got the PR Widget. So checking each listing against the Google toolbar isn't a workable solution.
Where does the PR Widget get it's PR data? Anybody experiencing discrepancies between what the Widget says, and what other PR data sources say?
Thanks!

I can't wait for the dashboard one. ;) Don't know if it's even worth it though. We'll have to wait and see how dashboard works.

Same here.. As much as I liked Konfabulator when it came out, I have not used it since the first day I installed it.. It was a neato toy, but a BIG CPU HOG!!!
Extremely inefficient at far as I can tell. Anyway..

Hey - here is one that will add tags on every link on a page - to show you the "on-page" PageRank - prior to actually visiting the site. Very very handy if using google and wanting PR with the search results... or surfing your own site to see how pagerank is bleeding.
pagerank firefox extension (http://www.ryanturner.com/rtMassPR.php)
Hope that helps you out.

It would be nice if there were some install instructions on that page.. I have tried double clicking on it after downloading it, and it wants to open NetScape.. Anyway..

Not for me. I downloaded with FF and it placed it on the desktop. I then double clicked on it, and it opened Netscape.
I'm using a Mac, so perhaps it is a PC only thing?

Upon installation - restart FireFox, and the browser normally. When you reach a webpage that you would like to see the PR on the page choose Tools > rtMassPR and watch the screen fill, showing the PR of the urls on that page.
Under the OPTIONS menu you can choose to have rtMassPR run everytime a page loads. This is generally not recommended, though it does prove useful when searching through forums and trying to find the most important threads, etc.

I guess that is where the problem is. "Upon Installation" ??? What installation???
Again, I click on the link, and it downloads a file called "ixgl1oyb.xpi" to my desktop. There is no "installation". From there, I restart FF, and NOTHING.. There is no rtMassPR in the Tools menu.
Must be a PC thing...

Ok Mia. I tried it and here is what you do. The website doesn't install it (just like you said ;) ) so after it downloads, open a firefox window and drag and drop the .xpi file on it. It should then install. :)

That did the trick!!! Thanx a bunch man! I guess the author just assumes that everyone knows how to install it :)
I've never installed a plugin in FF, so I never would have guessed just dragging it to the app would do it. Anyway, thanx again!

Extensions aren't supposed to install that way. This person just didn't do it quite right. ;)

Ok, understood.. It would be nice if he would at least be a bit more specific in this his installation instructions. I can only imagine how many download it and then get frustrated and do not use it.
What do you want for free? Anyway, it is pretty sweet.
