Not sure what you are asking?
Keywords are the words or phrases searchers are putting into search engines to look for information.
If your site name is 'Wodjit Limited' (and your url is wodjitlimited.com) and you sell Widgets, in an ideal world you want to come up at the top of the search engine results when someone searches for 'Widgets', most people won't have heard of 'Wodjit Limited' and are unlikely to search for it.

So with that in mind you might want to change your signature so the clickable links are the search terms you want to rank high for ;)
Good luck!

Yep a change of sig would be good start ;) ... and then in future whenever creating or exchanging links, use keywords.

keywords are just words that you decide are "key" to your website.
If I sell beach totes at my online store (name can be anything) then technically "beach" and "tote" are seperate keywords.
Together they make a keyphrase.
Now I take my keywords and insert them into places like the title tag ( <title>[here]</title> ), and in mets tags like the keyword meta tag and the description meta tag, as well as in anchor text for links linking to my "beach tote " optimized page.
So your keywords are just words that are relevant to your site.
(example: beach, tote, bag, purse, gucci, etc.)
Keyphrases are combinations of those words.
(example: beach tote, gucci purse, tote bag, etc.)
Does that clear it up any better?
