Finally they said they will take care of the funky transactions and credit the amount back to my account.
I can receive money, but can not send any now.
Thanks

I was reading earlier that Jerlene.net got taken too (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=474411). What the heck is going on?
She has her money back now too. Thank goodness. Good luck with your outcome :(

This has happened to me before in the past. Luckily, it is fairly easy to get your money back. Once they are done with the full "investigation" you will regain full access to your account.

It is not that easy with getting back the money from my experience. How long after the transactions have been done till you realized? If the money was sent to other accs from the recievers acc and this is empty now they won´t give it back directly (because it would be PayPals money then and this won´t happen). They will try to contact him then etc. and get money from him. It´s a bad situation
hope you will get this resolved asap

They said it will take 10 days to get my money back.
As of now they are still doing a review..
-- that is bad on their part, They depleted my back account to almost nothing.
And to put the money back it will take months..
Not happy with paypal at this time.
-- The bad guy who hacked by account, not sure what he got and he just got away with lot of money.

Talk with paypal regarding this matter.
Paypal has really gone down now a days and this company should be winded up which cannot ensure customers of safe money and more over these paypal people are more interested in limiting accounts.

btw, how does money just vanish in PayPal (no transaction records) because I know someone who had about £8/900 in there and it just went, I don't think she got it back as yet.

Something like this would be extremely scary for anyone...they can for sure refund your money? How does that work out, surely once your account gets hit all the funds spent are not just forgotten about...

The scary part is if you have a premium or higher account.
-- You need give Credit card info (my card would take $xx,xxx + as it is a business account)
-- Have to give the bank account number and let them have access to it.
-- All the money in that account + any overdraft limitation you have.
They should make this more secure..
-- I am going to get a new credit card that only have $500 limit and get a back account that I only going to keep $100.
This is not good situation for me!

Open a dispute immediately stating the reason you could not have made those charges. I did that and go my money back pretty quick.

Did not find time to calculate to the last $ but looks like I got most of my money back from who ever hacked into my account.
So, I would give some credit to Paypal for helping me.

Well there was an email going around that was a fake from paypal.
I opened it and my browser caught that it was a fake and it would eventually track your information. Might want to double check the emails you are getting, just my little tip. I called paypal and they said it was an issue before but now should be resolved.
Cheers,
Glad your money is back!
