Hi, I use iwebtool run a checking , I got 5404 backlinks from yahoo, but 0 for msn and google. Why?

Is that normal?

Yes it's fairly normal. Yahoo update backlinks on a very regular basis, whereas Google only update them every so often (maybe every couple of months) - because of this there's usually a time lag between the links appearing in Yahoo and Google. Furthermore Google are picky about which links they display, so usually show fewer than Yahoo anyway. As for MSN, a few months ago they radically changed the way they display links on their SE - haven't quite figured it out myself.

Google doesn't always show all the backlinks. The best way is to use Yahoo for this.

Yahoo are great for checking backlinks. I also use backlinkwatch.com :)

Google has lots more links of a site index, but show only a few.

The best way to check Google backlinks is to use Google's webmaster tools

are you sure that iwebtool is showing the correct numbers?

i think their pr and backlink related tools are not showing correct results

Yahoo is frequently updates is backlinks while google updates backlinks every 3 months but it doesn't display all of your links. You can only all of your links if you have an account in google webmaster tools. While in MSN I think they're not displaying any links anymore.

Google dos not always showing your links total, you can use the Google Webmaster Tools for more accurate numbers.

google doesnt show all your back links for google. ii have most from yahoo with 8,491 links, and 5,209 links from MSN whereas on Google it only shows as me having 98 backlinks. tis strange and i dont know why they do it like that.

Even me I didn't know also why google do this.
