I just signed up to the network, I have a total weight of 63,000 - Is this good or bad?

What is your weight (if you don't mind revealing)

How can we find out the total number of "weight" within the network?

How often is the "weight" of a site updated?

Is there a way of being notified when your weight changes?

What increases weight more when displaying ads: Actual human visitors viewing an ad, or spiders?

Thanks, Zain Jaffer ;)

It's pretty good.

The ad network total weight is somewhere between 4,500,000 and 5,000,000 these days.

Weight is not updated on a specific schedule at this point.

Best way to increase weight is to run ads on more pages... it's all about getting what you give.

Wow!
I Had have had zero + zero for 2 weeks.
Not sure anyone is even seeing my ads.

Does Google know about your pages yet?

In direct searches, yes, both sites listed in my sig are on the ad network.

Keywords are not hitting on google yet.

hehe, I was chuffed with 2,841... I've gone for the extra ads on the page but will have to wait for the next update to see it's impact

It's a small site but mine own :)

I have a total weight of 4 and G knows about 3 of my pages. Is this correct? How is a weight of 4 derived from 3 pages?

I thought there was a cap? 63k - excellent - this almost mean 63,000 additional inbound links

I think Shawn ?

ps - I got a PM saying your name was ShaWn and not ShaUn

It's the UK part in me (well 100% of me)

no, 63,000 does not translate to 63,000 inbound links ;)

your weight determines how likely it is that your ads will be shown. there's no guarantee how many inbounds you'll get.

I believe The weight accounts for X number of incoming links at all times (you will not get your weight in IBLs), and the number of sites in the network just spreads out where the links could be placed.

Thanks for the quick response,

So to start with my weight is 63k, this means that it shall increase as more ads are shown, right?

not sure what you are asking will increase?

Will the more ads that I display, have an increasing affect on the weight?

My weight is 63,000, this means that even if I show the ad on one page, my weight will remain the same?

The more ads you display, the more your weight goes up. The higher your weight, the more of your ads will be shown throughout the network.

If you show your ad on one page only, your account becomes invalid (you must show it on all pages)

You may show up to five ads per page. Showing more ads per page, I believe, will increase your weight (I'll tell you after the next weight update :-)

Weight DOES increase when you display more ads on a page.

Here is a thread (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=3961) that covers this.

I've been running 5 coop ads on all pages of my site since 10/29 and seen no change in weight. How long does it take to update?

Good Question. I don't know.

I would guess it's on a schedule of some sort. Every other week or something.

When was the last update? Other than referrals, my weight hasn't updated in several weeks... wondering if I maybe hit the cap?

Last update for me was 10/27 for one of my newer sites and my weight did go up at that point.

Tim, you probably have hit the page cap.

Damn... I thought it would be higher than I have... :( Yeah, the last update I see for my site was 10/27 as well... though I don't think it changed then... not sure, though, as I was on vacation.

Don't worry Tim, I remember Shawn mentioning that the cap gets raised as the network grows.

Yeah, good point. ;) I'm not overly worried, it's helped a ton so far. :D
