Is it true that if you do something wrong with your adsense ads, google doesn't close your account right away?

Do they wait and let you waste your time and make them more money from your site, and then just before they have to pay you, they close it? I'm really curious about this. I read about it somewhere, and I'm not sure.

Is there any way of verifying that my site is still eligible for payment?

yeah it happened to my friend , when he reached 100 $ he got banned

Google does check all sites closely right before $100. If you follow the TOS you wouldn't be banned

i have seen a lot of people saying the same and now i got it here.I think google never banns anyone by reaching to 100$ but just before u cross hundred they start looking at ur site.And let me say clearly if u r having fraud clicks on ur site just near to hundred then they will bann u.
But my dear if u keep one thing in mind that try to get legal links when u r in 85+ in ur adsense then u will never banned.
I have seen such cases.
