It was hard work but I managed to build up over 200 backlinks from high PR sites in 2 months through forum postings, posting useful comments in related blogs, participation in mybloglog, blogcatalog, stumbleupon etc. Of course, I concentrated on writing quality articles as well.
I was just wondering.. because my site is only 2 months old, my PR is still 0. How can I estimate my PR when google next updates?

Yeah, you can estimate ... but Google will give you his PR
Good luck ;)

Just be patient and keep plugging away. Be sure your back links are industry specific. SEO generally takes 5-6 months.
You will also want to list yourself in the Google directory.

Volusion: Google directory? My site is already indexed by google. Is that what you mean?

200 in 2 months isn't all that great honestly.. it's better then nothing but try for 1,000 a month to really get PR.

how you manage to get 200+ links for your non PR website. This is what I think people need to ask first.

aryawat: I write original quality articles, participate in blog carnivals and did some offline marketing as well.

he means directory.google.com - the only way in is through DMOZ

Ic... I don't think I'm in DMOZ yet. Probably need to build up my site a little more first =)

It can take a while for DMOZ to process the application, so it's better to submit sooner rather than later.
