Hi,

I have just upgraded to Premier as I am about to start receiving a pretty large amount of funds every week from customers as I shall be starting drop shipping a product from the U.S. via ebay

My question is as follows : As my account has very few tranacations every month should I inform Paypal that there may well be a large increase in activity through my account ?

I do not want my account suspended by them until the issue is investigated by them - perhaps if this is not prudent then possibly I cover myself by another means.

I think you should go for Business Account...

if you are a single individual and will be dealing with others as an individual then premier account will be ok. but if you have a company and mentioning and dealing with others under your company name, then it's better to switch to business account. also it's better to inform them. infact you should mail them and tell them. they'll always help you and will tell you it'll be ok or not. i hope this would have helped you. bye

You really don't have to worry about the surge in the number of transactions as long as you operate above-board with all the necessary documentations. It is best to use the Invoicing System from Paypal for your customers to pay you so at least you have some kind of paperwork.

If possible, use a registered or trackable means of shipping so you be protected.

Basically use the Paypal Shipping Center https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/ship/center-outside&nav=2.1.0

They'll likely call you via phone and ask questions about the nature of your business. Happened to me a couple times.
