Yeah this is possible . There are many web 2.0 sites , where you can post your links for free. Also they dont use "No spider" tag . You will fully get credit for this.

I cant share the url here (Because i am new member here ) . But web 2.0 has changed the whole link building process.

Not to forget , hundreds of sites arrive daily . You just have to look for them . See if you can place your link somewhere to boost your PR . Sure its trial and miss , but great stuff , if you want to get some good amount of backlinks
