Hi all,

You probably know that I participate in design contests here, but this time I am the one in need of the help :)

Im without access to my design apps over the next week or so as I move back into my university accommodation and I need to get this design tidied up.

Its a basic requirement. I want you to take this image -- http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j143/alexspics123456/lelaverde-logo.gif (copy and paste)-- and vectorize it so that there are no rough edges etc. The design must remain the same and the 'handwritten' style still in tact as much as possible. I literally only need the edges smoothed and converted to a vector shape. I had someone try it but they didn't really understand what i wanted.

The contest is simply whoever can present the logo, with a zoom in on one of the parts demonstrating the smooth edges to clarify its vector will get the $30 via paypal. No creativity needed!

Good luck and thanks to everybody who enters, the contest ends a week today

Alex

I understand and would be able to do it, but you would have to wait till i get back to my house to complete it. (about 6 hours time) Also i would do this for $18 not $25 or $30.

I'll send you a high res jpg before the vector so you can see the entire thing and see if anything needs to be smoothed out or modified

I would round it more but might get too far away from the original:

Finished. Let me know where you would like the vector file sent to.

Wow, this is an easy contest. Anyone who has illustrator can just use live trace and it's done in one click!

It doesn't always work perfectly in my experience, you often get a lot of lines in places you don't want them etc. but yeah i guess it is easy if you do that haha.

looks like everyone got the idea :D great news. Aries (Via PM), Ace2016 and mac_crazy - please upload some high res jpegs (around 300 height) so i can double check and choose from them as there seems to be some variation :) (Watermark if you feel the need and remember the smoother the lines, the more chance - I will be looking at every squarish angle)

First one to post with that will win the contest and get the $25

True stuff Hecky, i'd do it myself but the deadline is Thursday and my set up wont be up till Saturday! Anyways, I don't mind rewarding other designers every once in a while :D

Redders - Thankyou for the offer - but I put up $25 and to save arguement, I will stick with it :D

Davey - You're right about live trace, it's temperamental!
