I have tried to sign up for the network but there is a problem validating my ste. I assume its because I'm using the Invision software to power my board. Invision is a PHP based site so I thought there would be no problem. The URL is http://www.weirdears.com

You need to have the ads on your site in order to validate... I couldn't see any when I had a look... have you put the code in?

Yeah sorry I dodnt realise that's how it worked, I've put the code in and the ads are running on my site now and its validated. I have a further question though. I put the adverts on my home page and validated it, getting a score of 132. I then went back and put the adverts at the bottom of every topic on my forum, there are several hundred threads, will this automatically increase my score? or do I need to do something so that it knows I've made this change?

My understanding is yes, but I'm new to this myself (I've just done something similar today)... from what I've read elsewhere (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2915) Shawn updates periodically

The ads need to be site-wide. If they aren't sitewide, chances are your account will be deactivated when it revalidates sites and does the random spot-checks.

when you say site wide do you mean on literally every page? I have them on the home page and all the topics but things like help files etc won't have them, neither will users profiles and things like that.

I think it needs to be literally on every page.

Yep... on all pages.

OK I have an issue here then. I am happy to put the advertising throughout my site. However each of my users has a homepageand a journal, these do not feature any of the elements of my site, no navigation bar, logos or anything, it is purely the users homepage and they set it up how they like. These pages are reachable from the main site and begin with my url, www.weirdears.com It is not possible for me to put adverts on these pages. Is this a problem?

As it is currently set up, your site would fail the validation checks.

I find that strange. I guess it is so you can calculate weight by using G's site: command and other SE's equivalents? I'd imigine it is because else it's hard to count the number of pages serving the ads...

Is the one on top of this page here http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=50272&postcount=10 a Coop ad?

If so, shouldn't that then be displayed on all pages on the forums.digitalpoint.com website so it is sitewide?

I was close to signing up but this news will delay it...

I currently have the adverts installed on my site but I am now considering removing them which would be a shame as I would like to take part in this network. I need to know if it is possible for Digital Point to make an exception or not. If not sadly I will have to leave the network

Yes, it would be a problem, and your site would fail validation.

Just use folders as the site you sign up for. i.e. sign up for http://www.yourdomain.com/folder1 and just make sure that the ads show up on every page within folder1. See what I'm saying?

Well my user pages are within a sperate folder so maybe that will be OK? I've emailed for clarification too.

Just sign up for other folders, but not that one....
