There are 10 on-line magazines in my industry and none of them have an rss feed. Is there a tool I can use to get content from their sites and use that to create a feed FROM my site to syndicate?
If this question makes no sense, please correct me as my initiation to rss is about 1 day old.

It's a good question and I'd like to know the answer to it as well. Glad you asked it.

I'm guessing that the answer is no, but perhaps someone who knows more about rss will chime in.

of course you can do it.
For each site you want to use, you need to create a content extractor which convertes the site into your desired rss.
But I am not sure if there are 3rd party tools available for this.
And without permission of the site owner you should not do it anyway.
Which internet programming language do you use on your own web site?

We do this all the time but it is custom work. You also can't just republish things without permission.
Cheers.

You can make RSS of the info on your website and this seervice is free! I used it myself. My website quickigifts.com is in the same situation as yours, but thank to www.dapper.net, I am able to make RSS feed. You can see the RSS button on the left hand side of my website and take a look if that's what you need.

You're just 1 year too late with the response... Tough one, better luck next time ;)

Without getting an ok from them, it's stealing.
That said, most smart sites will allow you to take a chunk of their content if there's a way that you encourage people to check out the whole enchilada. Think twice before getting a scraping program that just grabs willy nilly, though.
