View Full Version : Broke the $600 barrier (for the month)

I've been earning $500 for the past few months, but in August I earned a total of $650.94.

Was a brilliant month, bringing in over 5,000 clicks. My niche isn't the best but as long as revenue still increases, I'm happy.

I also made a further $350 from other revenue streams, equaling over $1,000 in total for August.

Just thought I would share this, since everyone else seems to, and I was always one of those people who read these stories and admired those involved.

Roll on September!

Thanks everyone. I have 2 sites, one making me about $400 from Adsense and the remainder from another niche. I've been with Adsense for about a year and a half, but only now am I seeing true rewards for my efforts.

Hopefully kick things off in style today, being the first day of the month, which is already at $16 and lots of time left to rake in more.

My advice, is forget about high paying keywords. Focus on developing a worthy resource with up to date unique content, and the traffic will soon follow. Making a site you're interested in, will make it easier to produce content and less likely to be neglected.

If your clicks are converting well, you will earn decent money from any niche. Just don't go with MySpace sites or get rich quick sites or MFA's. Go for something which interests you. Anyway, that's just my personal opinion.

Green rep for that, and most people would be well advised to follow it. I had a few sites that were bordering on MFA etc, and some basic junk sites. Got rid of them all, and concentrating on proper sites that have a lot of quality content that users love. So much better for long term when you have some decent quality sites, with good SE traffic etc.

Exactly Vic. Concentrating on developing quality resources is the only way to go in my eyes. I've been lucky enough that one site I own also generates decent click prices, but this is down to good fortune rather than anything else.

Finding a site which interests you, which also tends to pay decent amounts, can never be a bad thing. As long as you can create the content regularly and remain interested.

I'm releasing another site this month, which I think will be quite popular, but it is focused on a low paying niche. This doesn't worry me however, as if the traffic flows - the money will follow.

I'm also considering opening a blog, just need to know if anyone here would actually read it! It would include earnings figures, breakdowns of ad campaigns, tips and tricks, the usual kind of entrepreneur blog. Let me know if anyone would be interested in this, as I'm sure I have a few tips and techniques that would benefit many of you.

jambo,

Congratulations on breaking the barrier. You should do well since you sound like a guy willing to put in the time and tinker a little bit here and there to make it work.

As for your blog, I'd join and give it a mention at:

http://smartmoneyconnection.com

I list the url so you can look at it and see if you think it is worth your time. In fact, if any DP mbr has a blog focusing on making, saving, being smart with, money and/or personal money mgt pm me and we'll trade mentions.

Please don't send me any other areas. Affiliate programs, mlm, etc are all great but I don't write about those. Hope you understand.

Wishing you much success,

Tom:)

Totally agree about the part where you should definitely focus on topics that you're interested in.

My traffic, clicks, and earnings have increased exponentially since I started three months ago. I'm still a novice at SEO, so it's basically just all natural traffic.

so how many impressions do you have per month?

jambo182

Hi,

In August I served 250,000 impressions. The PPC for both sites is fairly poor which is why the eCPM is also rather on the low side.

I'm launching a third site in the next few days which should contribute to the cause and push for the $1,000/month mark with Adsense alone. That's one of my goals for 2007.

Congratz mate, I'm also trying to boost my earnings with AdSence.

I started out having it on some forums I had, making like 70cents a day :P But now I want to get involved with earning more from blogging. :)

Keep us updated :D
