I have recently opened the doors of a much anticipated and requested blog. It is my advice, tips, insight, and help for administrators of forums. As the owner of 3 big boards (see: www.big-boards.com ) with a 4th board that will hit that status in 2006, I continually get PMs, Emails, and IMs asking for advice and help. This blog will make my life and yours easier. I hope you enjoy it!

All feedback is appreciated, and improvements will continue to be made.

NEW ARRIVALS:
- I will have other "big board" admins offering their insight and advice. Two others have already made blgo entries.
- I have kicked off a new series that I will continue doing until who knows when...It is called "In The Beginning..." and it will be covering exactly what you said you needed, help for starting a forum. Enjoy!

Nice site, however I am a little disillusioned by this post you made:
http://www.theforumfix.com/?p=26 - 'Paid Posts Rant'

I cant speak for others, but as for testimonials being "phony", feel free to check my testimonials with people from this very forum, as the majority on my site are quoted with the usernames people use here.
I don't make Testimonials up, nor do I provide "illegitimate" services and I'm pretty sure most of the other paid posting services don't either.
Would you mind sharing how/who you 'investigated'? Just out of interest.

It's easy to come out of nowhere and write a few general comments that are completely wrong and of no substance, however it's not a very good way to write a review, is it?
Telling people to stay away from such services, without proof or reason, is quite lame in my books :)

I suggest you try out these services before negatively commenting on them, or else your point of views have no base whatsoever.

Kindly put, I think you and I will simply agree to disagree. You haven't any idea the research I have done. Just because I won't state names of these paid posting companies I have watched for more than 2 months, doesn't mean I made up my information. I am well respected in the forum industry and people ask me these question all the time. I am free to post my thoughts, concerns, etc and you are free to dislike them. Your company was new to me until today and I know nothiing of your service. If you are legitimate (and I did ask for feedback in your thread ;) ), then I compliment you. You will surely do well if you stick with it. Thanks for the feedback...

I agree with both of you, there are alot of poorly administrated paid posting services, but its really not fair to give them all a bad name by telling people to stay away from the paid posts service's.

There are decent paid posting services, forumbulge's being one of them.

Now, LeeD is correct in saying that it is just his opinion, and that we can think whatever we wish of it. But the proper thing to do would be to get all the facts first and do some better research.

Just MY opinion.

Again I will say that I had more than 2 months worth of research and watching under my belt. Of course I can't keep on eye on every company. When asked about this topic I made a valid and clear blog post to offer my feedback as an experienced forum owner/administrator with more than 100,000 forum members across my boards.
