Take a look at snapnames.com (http://www.snapnames.com). It's a big domain auction site.

I found some good ones at Snap. Also, the parking sites like Sedo & NameDrive, and registrars like DynaDot, and domain forums like this.

you can register LL.vc's still
and I'm sure some other extensions.

.WS, too. At least at Dynadot. Two letter .ws is $990, three letter .ws is $495.

You'd have to go for unpopular extensions, or have $xxx,xxx handy.

I see a three letter one for sale. It is not mine. BIN is $7k, but you can probably get it for less. PM for the link.
