Can you let me know what you think about the text color of this site

http://www.visitdevonandcornwall.com/

Do you find it hard to read, does the yellow on blue do your head in?

I designed the site colors to reflect the Sun, Sea and Sand here in Cornwall

Your opinion please

Jamie

hey, its readable, didnt get any headaches :)
Maybe its an idea to change the background of the map images to white, cause you got a dodgy white border around it. Anywayz good luck!

Looks fine here too, however your dropdown on the left side is overlapping the word "Bookstore" under Useful Resources.

I was expecting it to blind me based on your description, jimbob, but I was pleasantly surprised - subdued colors, quite pleasant.

Colleen, you have to stop using that newfangled Firefox thing... looks fine and no overlapping in IE.

I use IE6, I don't use Firefox, can never be bothered to wait for it to load.

Me too. That's one of the reasons.

Where do you see the overlap, then? Which dropdown? I don't see it in IE6 SP-2...

Yes, but which dropdown on the left side?

Edit: Ohhhhh... that little numeric one below... I was looking above it for menus that would drop DOWN rather than UP... :o

Why is it still called a dropdown box when it drops up? :eek:

Below "Bookstore" there's only one dropdown on the whole left side for me.

This is weird in the code there is no dropdown box in that area!!

<a href="/ukbooks/index.php" target="_blank">Bookstore</a> </p>
<div align="left">
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a onClick="window.open('http://www.justoneuk.com/formfreeads.htm',
'RIC','width=410,height=450,resizable=no,scrollbars=no,left=10,top=30');return false;" href="http://www.justoneuk.com/formfreeads.htm"><img border="0" src="/images/sell.gif" width="120" height="60"></a></p>

No dropdown code anywhere... hmm

If you search for something with it, the following page has it positioned properly.

Is it overlapping for you as well Minstrel?

If you put the box near the top of your browser, it will drop "down" :D

Yes, it does overlap the text, just as you describe...

The "drop-up" is earlier in the code:

<form action="/property.php" name="search" id="search">
<select name="Property" id="Property">
<option value="1">1</option>
<option value="2">2</option>
<option value="3">3</option>

...

<option value="91">91</option>
<option value="92">92</option>
<option value="93">93</option>
</select>
<input type="submit" name="Submit2" value="Ref: Search" />
</form>
<p class="style9"><font size="2%"><font size="2%"><a href="/contact.php"> </a></font></font> </p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
