I kind of like the header that I already have, however the guy who started it never finished the sizes and the css color for this one:

I would like something similar and all the sizes mentioned in the first post.

Now, it doesn't have to be the same. Just keep the colors coordinated and match the site's background color (CCCC66).

The text effect looses the readibility of the letters.

I would also like somewhat of a logo or a simbol/graphic and keep the other sizes in mind.

why not , the First thing is the design of the banner , and after that you can make the size that you want !! with NP

Yes, it is easy once you have the original banner done. It is done all the time. Last banner I got, the guy did 8 sizes in 5 minutes.

It is very dark. The globe is almost not visible. The letters, especially in the last one are "broken." In the large one the globe is stretched.

Also, How am I going to blend it into the page?

First of all, I'd like to thank all for participating, Secondly, I apologize for running a few days late. I'm ready to finalize this now. PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST CAREFULLY.

Well, I have a dilemma. I honestly do not like any of the designs presented and I do not mean to offend anyone. I am sure some of you are very talented, but I think some did not devote more than just a few minutes to this project.

I will keep my word and I will pay the 2 Winners. In order to be paid though, I will expect the graphics to be delivered as indicated in the first post, after the winners are announced. I will send money via PayPal even though I will definitely NOT use the headers/logos that were presented by now.

I have a proposal to ALL that participated so far. I will extend the Contest for another 5 days and give all the opportunity to win the First and the Second prizes. To make it fair, this will ONLY be open to those that already participated in the contest. No new entries will be considered. Fair?

If you present an outstanding project, you'll be the winner. If you do not post anything better, most likely you will not win, since I will choose the winners at random from the already submitted projects. Why at random? The way it is now, I will not use any of the proposed entries. I am only doing it to be fair and to pay the 2 Winners.

Again, no offense to anyone! Ask yourself. Would you put up your design on YOUR site?

Yes it is. The Contest was officially over on Sept. 4th. I was away and just came back, so I am delayed announcing the winners.

It would NOT be fair if I allowed new entries.

Lots of people extend the deadlines for contests, allowing new entries. To be honest, the idea of these contests is that you get the header / logo you need, therefore, so long as you pay the best design, theres no problem.

I'm sure someone will dissagree with me :)
