Is there any point on link building posting a comments?

I receive too many spams comments on my site with their links of course. Is there any way I could minimize or totally stop these comments?

use <a rel="nofollow"></a>,
for bigger effect you can inform your users about this change on your website :)

Sometimes you get spam comments even with the "nofollow" .Find some plugins to solve the problem..

After 3 days of your post being active, close off comments for it.

there are two ways to do.

* adding nofollow to every external link
* to approve every comment

I have turned off commenting on my blogs because of this problem.

If your using wordpress then just use the askimet plugin. The only positive to having a link in the comments is for actual traffic from the site.
