Well congratulations! Google is often the most prominent search engine and it still is dedicated to just that. Yahoo on the other hand is a myriad of information busting at the seams with so much advertising. What happened to the good old days when yahoo was a simple search engine with a directory. Oh well times they are a changing.

Now that I think about it once these search engine giants went public change was bound to happen. sigh.

I beleive getting in Yahoo is difficult for certain keywords. My site is ranking well in G but not in yahoo for certain keywords.

It truly depends, but I've always managed to rank faster on Google than Yahoo.

Yes it depends. I don't understand these threads where people ask "How many links do I need to become #1?" or "How do I rank better?" etc.

Everything is relative to one's niche, the competition, the age of your domain and the competitors' domains, the amount of content and quality of content of ones site, etc etc.

And one search engine isn't necessarily easier to rank in - for many of the same reasons. ALL of this just depends!!

(Okay my rant is over now!)

Geting listed on yahoo is also not a tough job as it seems to be in Google. However I feel max visitors comes from Yahoo itself though.

Hi,

Yes, When compared to Yahoo, Yahoo easier than Google because Yahoo can accumulate the large number of users to visit their site. :)

I used to rank well in Yahoo, and poorly in Google.

Now, my rankings have dropped somewhat in Yahoo - but I'm on page 1 for google.

I think its all witchcraft!

Hi all
It is easy to get ranked in yahoo rather then Google. This is because the algorithm used by these two-search engines is different. As yahoo does not take care of “no follow”, so it is easy to increase the back link in yahoo rather then Google.

The search volume mainly comes from Google, because mostly users use Google.
