Hi,
I have a website that gets a decent ranking for some keywords on Google.
However, when I perform the same search on Yahoo, my website is nowhere to be found.
My website is listed both on Google (obviously) and Yahoo. However, I have no clue why I don't get a decent ranking on Yahoo.
Are there different optimization techniques for Google and Yahoo?

Please read more about seo and how to implement this... as my suggestion would be too simply submit your site to link directories and generate backlinks... and if you are comfortable hire a SEO person.. you can read about seo techniques in the webmasters blog here...: infogle.com/blog

You can ping Yahoo with updates, you can submit a sitemap, and you can submit your site to be crawled. All of these will help. Additionally you can find high-ranked sites on Yahoo and get links from them - i.e. blog comments.

If you really do rank properly in Google for a specific competitive search term, then you are doing everything alright.
One of my sites had the same exact problem. However, Yahoo indexes and ranks sites slower than Google. Just submit your site If you haven't already, add your sitemap and give it sometime.

I also wonder. I get steady traffic from Google on most of my sites. None from Yahoo?
