Recently a lot of directories have started to make there own blogs for adding content to there directories. Do you think it is a good idea to have articles and blogs on directories.

1) How much value you give to quality content?
2) Do any of you buy quality, paid content?
3) Dose less content on directories, especially bidding directories carries a higher threat of getting banned by google!
4) Dose articles and blogs helps in maintaining serps!

Am planning to make an article directory on my bidding web directory to add more content! i have contacted a few writers, journalists who will be writing articles for me!

1) Thats the only thing that matters!
2) Sure
3) Yes is DOES
4) Maintaining means you have already serp in a search engine. It could be possible to increase your serp in a search engine, see point 1.

unique content will bring in google traffic, and also bring in traffic from interested readers.

Google wont ban a directory or bidding directory for no blog. It may dump most of your site in the supps if it wants to tho...

Content is a valuable source of information for search engines if it remains unique.

Content along with good SEO will bring in search engine traffic.

I value this highly. So highly this is the first thing I take into consideration when building a website before I place any value on link building.

Link building to a website is pointless if your own site does not have its house in order.

I think its essential. A site needs purpose. It also needs a webmaster and the easiest way to add content with purpose is a blog. Its just common sense.
