Marketing my RSS feed

I am curious of how other webmasters are marketing or getting their RSS feeds picked up by other websites? I have a new website I am building and want to promote the content through RSS. Would like to ideas on promoting the feeds to other sites.

IMO, good content will let webmasters get their feed from other site...

I agree, but for a new site or a new feed, I am looking for some good proactive ways to promote the RSS feeds to let others know about the site and feeds exist.

Submit your feed to feed search engines/directories. If you do a search on Google you'll find tons of them. If your content is interesting enough people will start to use your content - but firstly you have to get it out there for people to read.
