Whats the Amazon commision percentage? And doesn't it depend on what type of item you sold? (ie. DVD/electronics only 3% and kitchenwares 5% or something?)

Look it up. ;)

Wow nice sale :) Hope it sticks. I've been doing this for 4 years and I made my biggest one time affiliate sale yesterday as well -- $2300 at 7.5%.

1-20 items = 5%
21-90 = 5.25%
91-330 = 5.75%
941-1880 = 6.75

Direct clicks get more & electronics get less.

The biggest thing I ever sold was a $100+something movie boxset. Translated to about a $20 commission.

Somebody bought a $1500 camcorder and a $1600 LCD from one of my amazon websites last week. Over $250 in comissions just from these 2. Makes it worth. Atleast pays for the hosting. lol !!

I don't think my customers are very big spenders. Or at least most of them are young, so they don't have that much money to spend. :)

I dont have many big spenders either, most of mine are small sales.
But congrats on the big sale, you should get a nice amount for that in return as long as they dont return it.

Wow! You guys have made big sales! I'm just interested - what sort of sites do you run? I wouldn't mind seeing your layout etc... if you don't mind as well so that I can optimise my sites (obiously not the pixel site below coz that has no content and was just an experiment...)
