Hi

I recently ran a competition here, and was very pleased with the results.

However, the majority of users of my site felt the logo was not reptiley enough. This was entirely my fault, as I say, I really liked the logo. The circle logo bit was meant to represent the reptile eye, after the logo before that, but I think I may move on from the reptile eye theme if someone here can produce a better idea.

The things I like about the above logo is the modern, simple, smooth and swish look and feel it has about it. I would like the writing RFUK (reptile forums uk) to be similar (or better lol) to that above and be in the same layout with the RFUK to the right hand side... I also liked the mirror effect.

Obviously not JUST like that because its someone else but I like the idea, the silhouette snake head... just throwing some ideas.

My site is Reptile Forums UK (http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/) the logo must fit the site colour/design. I quite like the blue/green, but open to other blue/colour combinations.

Payment is by Paypal, would also want the PSD too for holiday customisation.

The lettering is RFUK <- not fork :D

Yeah spider isnt exactly reptiley.. but on the right track nonetheless! (the site covers pretty much all exotic pets)

pash: quite good but doesnt look quite right, second lizard images is blurry too?

Adamant: really like where you went with that, didnt think so much about having a detailed picture, but looks really good! I cant really find any criticism with it.

Open for any other entrys at the moment though, any new/different ideas.

Just been getting some feed back from my users too...

Adamant: is there any chance maybe the lettering be slightly bigger, or have the gecko tail go off behind it... would make it look more 3D than 2D

Freelance GD: thats really good too, but I think there is too much shine effect and the URL is wrong.

pash: good, but wrong type of colours and lettering etc not nice as others.

Freelance GD: Yeah looks much better like that.. very nice.

gatlind23: good concept but not the look im after

bababoy: very cool! I really like number 2 & 3

coolwanz: also nice, lettering could be a bit more 'special' though.

Ariestoteles: love that snake, the lettering could look better and would have to fit the site colours better though.

Will probably choose the winner tonight (UK time) as long as we are happy.

Thanks all who have applied, my users have been deciding on the ones they like best and at this point it is between Freelance GD & Adamant. Its obviously been a close call and there have been some great entrys.

Freelance GD: Just a few things, do you think you could fix that blob on the tail and I think the web address might look a bit better if it was styled instead of plain black. I would also like it if you could ad a TM next to the RFUK.

You are the winner Freelance GD!! congrats! as long as you can do two small adjustment, the new TM and the blob amendments are perfect... but I dont like the URL bit still... could you make it same format/design as the TM perhaps? The secon amendment is "Reptile Forums UK" (has an S on forum)
