has anyone tried to go to hotmail.cm not COM just CM. It redirects you to a page with some google ads on it. I bet this guy makes a fortune. How do they do that?

Most .cm names now point to agoga.com pages. It's this domain guy from Vancouver and he makes a killing.

There are tons of trademark issues but he's fine because his are redirected - it's not like he owns the name.

It's a loophole that will probably get filled in the future.

i know, there is some great domains available. It would almost be worth it to buy one. I just dont know if i trust that website....

.cm is the TLD for cameroon. Some domain squatter has made millions by cutting a deal with the gov't of cameroon so he could get .cm for a lot of popular domains like ebay, etc - and then squats on them and makes the ad revenue from the mis spellings.

he its just using a catch-all kind of service. therefore if u type in adjhadkdjasd.cm then also it will take u to his advertisements..

and ya he is making a killing..
