Yahoo Directory & Traffic - Help Me

I'ii hope to submit my site to yahoo directory. Is it good source of traffic?
One of my friend told me that yahoo directory is not a good traffic source but help to increase link popularity. Is it true?

I am not to sure about direct traffic from the directory itself, but it helps search engines including yahoo to recognize some authority, and thus will most probably increase your ranking.

Depending on how deep inside the Yahoo directory you are listed really. !st page of a category will get you traffic for sure.
