I have added a number of sitemaps to my Site Explorer dashboard, however after a number of weeks (months in fact) Yahoo! seems unresponsive to the contents of my sitemaps.
Yahoo! continues to cache the old set of URL's.
Clicking "Explore" I see no change in the cached pages. Google has responed quickly, replacing the old URL's with the new set provided within the new sitemap (the new sitemap was submitted at least 3 months ago).
Why is Yahoo! Site Explorer unresponsive?
For example:
Yahoo! search shows: http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0geu6MqnqpGWxoBh1lXNyoA?p=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.smsdictionary.co.uk%2Fabbreviations-e&y=Search&fr=yfp-t-501&fp_ip=UK&rd=r1&meta=vc%3Duk
But the dashboard still shows:
http://www.smsdictionary.co.uk/index.html?p=a&q=e
