submit urllist.txt to yahoo. It will help to improve your index pages on yahoo.

Weirdly Yahoo seem to work better for me than Google. You could try to do your usual SEO stuffs to see if it improves the situation.

Site Explorer API: Notifying Yahoo of Changes
Tell the Yahoo! Index when you have new content available.
The Update Notfication service allows you to notify Yahoo! when your site changes. You may notify us about a single page, or a set of pages that need attention.
Sample Request Url: hxxp://search.yahooapis.com/SiteExplorerService/V1/updateNotification?appid=YahooDemo&url=http://www.yahoo.com

Exactly the same problem here: Google indexed twice as many pages compared to Yahoo or MSN.

i heard that if you post links to the yahoo answers section they will get indexed faster. I have been experimenting with this, some people claim it takes only 1-2 days to get it indexed

Has anyone tested to see if sitemap.xml in robots.txt will get MSN/Live to index more of your site?

In my experience, MSN was first to index my site, followed by Y!, and finally big G came lumbering along. Best thing I can say is to make sure you have adequate links to your pages from other parts of your site.

It's the same for me. 300+ for Google, 47 from Yahoo but MSN has a ton of my links in there.
No one clicks my site through MSN though so only Google is helping right now.

Get a Google Sitemap.xml for getting all pages indexed on Google,
sitemap.txt thru siteexplorer (yahoo) for getting all indexed in yahoo..
You can also try looking at www.sitemap.org (http://www.sitemap.org) to find out.. how with one sitemap you can get all ur pages indexed...
www.sitemap.org (http://www.sitemap.org) is a solution made by Google, Yahoo and MSN regarding the sitemap for SE's issue... as there needs to be 2-3 sitemaps if you wanna be indexed fully on all search engines.

If the sites you have links from on are indexed on yahoo and msn it shouldn't take long. Why not go to msn and yahoo and find some good sites to link with ?
Good Luck !

I've tried them all : sitemap.xml, urllist.txt, getting links ...
Nothing works for yahoo. The question of weather or not they will index more pages from your site has a completely random answer, so don't bother

I disagree
Google will list your site first. Check backlinks much faster then yahoo, msn, etc

I tried this suggestion by ggynmsn and also include my rss feed in my yahoo site explorer. Works great!, i now have more than 1,300 pages index in yahoo from less than 200. The only problem now is that i am still not getting good traffic from yahoo despite this increase in number of indexed pages.

I'm having the same problem. You may want to try Yahoo's express submit for faster crawling. Another key is to have incoming links to the pages you want crawled or feel are important.

yahoo is far too slow but submission of urllist.txt is the only solution in sight..
google goes up and down with page listing some days it will show 500 and some day 375 or even 75..always dancing..
goodluck
