Not linking to pharmacy, adult or gambling site doesn't save you

Google doesn't tolerate Wordcloud websites in the slightest.
They just take everything off their server and ban site from adsense if there was any on.

Yes, "Wordcloud sites" connotate "links to all different kinds of sites"

no maybe the real reason is that they are droped domains without any links!

Jul 27th 2007, 2:27 am
Hmmm, all cloudsite with the general idea of link farming will get banned. No matter if some are dropped or some are not.

So you think http://www.webdirectorybid.com/ pr7 will be banned?
its a site with links that are based in the first letter of the site.
i dont think so....

Word cloud sites are generally link farms driven around spam outgoing links to all sorts of websites that are not even close to their niche and subject.
This is enough for Google to lower your value consistently in the SERPs

Directories are not really linkfarming...
cloudsites do, and they are not categorized

I checked some famous word cloud sites and they are alive , what was the ages of the domains ? Maybe they applied a age/link quantity filter.

no.you are not right.this sites were deleted or baned from G because 1)they havent backlinks,2)they havent contain and 3)no traffic.is as simple as this.
Mihai
Jul 27th 2007, 2:52 am
Cloudsites are plain useless anyway :D Google will continue to lower their value over time as people also realize in the same time that its not worth wasting your time with such resources full of spam.

Well No traffic is wrong.
Alot of sites have no traffic.
They dont get banned.
Google does not ban sites due to low or no traffic
But yes I agree, they are useless for long term.
Although you can probably make small profit from it in the beginning.

Mihai

Exactly, Google does not filter websites with low or no traffic from the SERPs, this is not a filter category for their rules and it never was. On the other hand, relevancy regarding outbound links and relatively next to no content is the reason for sure.

would clouds are 0% quality links
No content on the site
No related content to the links
Lots of outbound links
Selling text links
Outbound links are not related
Therefore the ultimate link farms. I guess google hates them

Google hates WordCloud sites and So do most internet users. They are just spam/crap.
Their only use is to sell links and even at that they do a piss poor job. At least a paid directory has things catagorized.
I hate wordclouds so much that I signed up with "dreamhost" for some hosting and their user controll panel was a f$%k'n wordcloud. I canceled my account the next day. That shit is annoying to no end.

Not to mention usability problems that you have encountered, words clouds are a pain because of the search engines issuing penalties against them more and more frequent.

They are getting worse against this type of websites. It has been proven by many million pixels and word cloud website owners that got dumped by the big G.

Hi ... think this is relevant. I had links from 4-6 "Word Cloud" type sites in a set of 41 back links. These sites disappeared from my google.com/webmasters/tools/links?siteUrl= on 13 July 2007, along with 2-3 highly relevant sites. The latter 2 links drove a small amount of uniques, and had been in place for about a year. The deletions were replaced by 130 back links, of which 94 seem totally irrelevant -- a list of my pages on a site I don't know. It all seemed quite bizarre, but bizarre is an alternative, acceptable spelling of google.

It seems that google came out with another filter , for penalizing these types of sites.
