does sedo broker service work?

I want to buy a domain that looks like it's parked. No, whois info, no contact links on the site. How would you go about trying to purchase this site? Would sedo brokers have a chance? Anyone ever used them? Any advice would be great...

I'm unsure about the buyer-side process, but I have recently sold a domain through sedo's service. It is still pending because the buyer has to pay the escrow, but I don't think you need a domain broker to purchase a domain. I could be wrong, if anyone has a better idea of how this works, I would appreciate the input also.
