Hi Folks,

I recently had a server meltdown which made a number of my sites unreachable. Off the air for three days before restoration.

NATURALLY, this happened while Y was doing a refresh, so now they're nowhere to be seen (SERPS)..

It seems I now have to wait for the next index refresh.

My question:
Anyone know how often Y refreshes it's index ? (or if there's a formal enquiry channel for such things) ??

Cheers,

JL

You could check www ysearchblog com every few days and keep waiting for next weather update, I believe there should be one soon cuz there is a lot of mess in the serps at the moment...

Don't they do their normal updates about once a month besides those weather updates?

Sorry to sound stupid, but what is the difference between a weather update and a regular update? Thanks.

Weather update is when they make a change to their algo. Regular updates happen all the time when they update the cache and backlinks.

Lisa,

You can get your site in the Yahoo SERPs with the current algo, no need to wait for another update. :D
