View Full Version : How to get two ads in one serp?

I have seen this done by someone having example.com and example.net and running different ads which both appear in the AdWords results.

I have a site that (for simplicity) sells two different products. One product has around 10,000 keywords pointing to the page and one I just started has around 20.

I would like to test if I can get a better conversion/ROI by integrating the original keyword list into the new campaign for the 2nd product.

The only way I can think to do this without stopping my 1st campaign is to set up a new AdWords campaign and bid using a different domain? Would this work and let me run both campaigns in the serps at the same time? Or is there an easier way? And is this ok with Google?

This is not cool by google and getting caught might disqualify your accounts.
I advise you against this method

While it can be done it's called double serving and can get you kicked from AdWords.

Ahh ok thanks, I certainly don't want to do anything that is against the guidelines. It's funny because I have seen what I thought to be a very reputable company doing this.

What would you guys suggest I do? I suppose I could pause all campaigns for product one and copy and paste the keyword lists for product two.

Or I could rewrite product one's ad to product two and change the link to go to product two...but this would dramatically decrease CTR (as product two is a much 'narrower' product) and hence many keywords would rise in price.

If you manage both products in a single adwords account then there is no problem as your ads will rotate and not show twice in a single page. The only problem is using 2 different accounts to "trick" google

Don't use 2 adwords accounts, you could possibly get banned from Adwords. I suggest you focus on getting your CTR as high as possible with 1 ad.

A much safer and ethical way to proceed.
