View Full Version : Zero earnings on a click

I've been running Adsense for a couple of weeks, I just saw that in the reports - one of the early clicks, earned me zero dollars. Either I never noticed before, or it got changed.

I do know when I started I accidently clicked my own page, and it almost would seem that Google was smart enough to figure that out, and go back and remove the money from me.

Happens sometimes, not quite sure why.

Generally when you click on the ad yourself that will happen, otherwise- it might be PSAs (not sure if they count as clicks or not)

It doesn't need to be you... Sometimes a visitor clicks on a Adsense ad, returns and click again on another ad... You will not receive any money for that.

Also if you are clicking in your own ads several times you will not earn anything.

I'm pretty sure visitors can click on multiple ads and have them count...

Never seen a cero click, but I am seeing loads of lousy one-cent clicks now at my site... seems advertisers are paying less per click every day

I think I read a FAQ somewhere that this because it was considered to be a fraudulent click.

Google has complex algorithms to ensure "Quality of Click". Google states that if you go to a site and do not stay, then that click may not count. Also if all that a user is doing is clicking on ads Google does not give the AdSense user money for those. (I'm not sure if the AdWords user does not get charged however).

Once I was trying to copy and paste a URL on one of my ads and it activated a click rom me. The click showed up but the revenue was zero.

That's exactly what I was doing, I figued if I did that I'd get to the advertised site [that I wanted to look at] and bypass the Adsense, but the cut and paste copied the adsense code as well.
