your menu width is too large i think.it can be smaller.

Yeah your menu doesn't fit well. (Green part) Also I didn't like the colored scrollbar. It is an old javascript and it is used in some old-sites and old-designs. Your design can be called as professional but I think coloring the scrollbar is unnecessary. Also a background with different color may be better for the design. Blue, white or green colors will suit more then this color I think. By the way I couldn't see the flash animation.
These are my suggestions. I liked your design. It looks professional. Good luck with your new site

My suggestion change the white text menu color with darker color (maybe 30-50% grey) if you still use light green color.
Good luck :)

The white part you better give a picture on it.
The green part, make it smaller.
Overall your design is great to me.

thanks guys for the honest reviews. I am not too fond of the scrollbar css either, might scrap it.
talvehtia / oora : the white box is yey to be used , but i intend to put the latest projects on it .
I have tried using some small flash animations on it , but i personally felt the flash size was getting too large inside the page .
talvehtia , do you mean the brown background color ?

I kinda like the design, really not bad. However you might want to check and see if your "background" of the side panel and the content panel fit together... I don't know if I've explained that well enough :)

thanks ... theres a minor glitch i am yet a fix , which the bottom white strip is a little misaligned on IE7 . Any other browser reports if u can give it would help a lot .
thx kingdomoflegends ... what do you mean " fit together " ? is it allignment or color theme ?

talvehtia , do you mean the brown background color ?
Yes. You can try to change your background's color cause I think brown and blue is not a good combination. Your design looks clean and fresh but brown is not suiting well there in my opinion. Have a nice day

I like the design. keep on working on your color combination. place your navigation at the top of the flash

I can't figure out the white box on the left...
It looks a little stock like you got it from a Microsoft template. but it looks nice and professional otherwise

your site has lot of vacent spaces
websys

haha , it is surely no stock , rest assured . :)
The white space , as i mentioned above is for " showcasing my latest projects " . I am yet unsure if to use a Flash or just jpeg thumbnails using javascript .
Simonjohn , by vacant spaces, do you mean the internal pages ?

I like the over all design. I don't like the green menu - it doesn't go with the blue at all and the white menu items could be made a little more interesting ( a different text or a different colour perhaps) apart from that ok

I like the overall feel of the site. Just have two notes:
I'm curious about the white, empty square in the left sidebar. I don't know if it's me (Firefox 2.0.0.5 on a 13" MacBook) or if you're fixing that right now...
Also, I think increasing the text size and the line height of your main text would help. Sure, the smaller text might seem more "professional" but in the end people want a website they don't have to work to read.
Great work though!

For the most part it is very good. I agree that the green color in the menu bar is probably not the right one for that color scheme but the most important thing to me personally is proper contrast between the background and the text. If you have to work to read it........

Color combination. I had a hard time glaring up at my computer reading the black font on a blue background. Love the pictures though.
