If I check the yahoo webrank of www.ceec.nl I get 0 ranking. But if I search for "ceec" in www.yahoo.com I find www.ceec.nl on position 14. Is this OK?

WebRank and actual ranking are two different things. WebRank is Yahoo's measure of "importance" on a scale of 0-10.

Thanks Shawn for your fast reaction. So if a ranking of a site = 0 this doesn't mean that Yahoo has not indexed that site?

Right... Yahoo WebRank is like PageRank... you can have a PR0, but still be indexed by Google.

Yahoo WebRank is like PageRank
- Shawn
Shawn I know I'm taking this statement out of context, but I think it might be a slightly misleading analogy.

Yahoo WeBRank is primarily a popularity ranking tool. It is a measure of how often someone clicks through or loads a web page. It doesn't necessarily have anything to do with whether or not your page has been indexed by Yahoo.

Google's PageRank, when they get around to updating it, is a measure of the PR and quantity of all your inbound links.

So while both of these can be zero and not indicate anything about whether or not your page is indexed, they are very different measures. Not everyone realizes this and that is why I think it might be misleading to say that the one is like the other in any context.
