i just opened a golf forum (http://www.ukgolfchat.com) and wouldn't mind having a round sometime soon. Anyone else get time to play?

I only play in the middle of the motorway, early hours in the morning after finishing clubbing (i might even post some videos)

Or bowling... Besically just golfing at the pins in the bowling place...

Normal golf is a bit boring for me.

I played 8 rounds/week till I started paragliding and since then maybe play twice/year. I had a 5 handicap.

I used to play a lot during the summer, but that was a few years ago :(

Ya I play, just not as much as I used to! Going to try and get out more next summer.

In college I would play everyday and sometimes twice.

I think I've played a total of 5 times this summer. :(

Chicagoland has more courses than almost anywhere in the country (I think). I live about five minutes from Medinah CC (http://www.medinahcc.org/). Which is where the PGA Championship will be next year. And then the Ryder Cup in 2011.

I live in Myrtle Beach, which has a few golf courses as well...:D

I went to the SDGA (http://sdgagolf.com) here, but have hurt my knee, so I am doing computer science at the local college instead.

I still want to teach some, though I can't play much anymore.

don't forget to do a mod_rewrite because PHPBB isn't SE friendly by default.

I've never played. A couple of times I went to the driving range and tried to hit the kid that picks up the balls. If the real game was that fun I'd probably play all the time

I like to do that too. I usually smack line drive three woods at him! :p

I went to 2 different places. One guy drives around in a little cage covered cart. The other place the guy was on foot.

The first place was more challenging, but the second place was more rewarding.

On foot? -I've never seen that before! That is just crazy!

I got drilled in the throat with a golf ball before. Not fun! :(

I bet it was fun for the guy that hit you.

Yeah this place is right on the highway in the country and the kids that pick up the balls walk around in a baseball catcher's looking thing, a bucket and a trash picking up looking stick thing.

Edit. Oh yeah they encourage you to not drive your balls toward them. Oops I'm not good at Golf and kept hitting him and getting real close the other times.

Well it happened on the first hole and he was so scared he couldn't really concentrate the rest of the round. He still apologizes for it every once in a while. I mean, I was about ten feet away from him at a 90* angle. What a duffer!

Luckily we had a cooler full of beer so I was able to ice my neck right away.

I wonder what OSHA would say about that.

Fore!!!?

That's the nice part about country living. Most things are overlooked.

I once got hit in the head with a metal putter. My cousin and I were acting stupid at a putt putt golf course and this one used metal putters instead of those rubber ones.

I was standing a few feet behind and to the side of my cousin when she just swung back and right hand all the way back around behind her and caught me in the temple.

Lights out?

No, but a big knot and a hell of a headache.

We played through though

Did you get it in the clown's nose?

Did you get it in the clown's nose?

They didn't have a clown's nose but they did have a windmill!!!

It takes a real man to take a metal putter to the head (from a girl) and then continue to play putt-putt.
