All I can do is laugh. I sold my complete website last month ibabies.net and ibabies.org (both domains came with purchase) I sold the entire site for $800 on SP. Well, they have changed the design completely and it doesnt even look like the site I created, anyways thats beside the fact.

I was just checking out the site and stumbled across my other domain that I sold with the site ibabies.org and they are listing it for sale for $1500! Do you think I made a bad move by selling so cheap? Do you think this domain is worth that much? Should I be kicking myself in the arse?

:D

I don't think it is even worth $100 in my opinion.

You said they changed the sites and they might have worked on search engine rank also.

If they get site listed better and more traffic they will be able to sell it for more money. I would check Pr and see if they worked on site and increased it. If so you would not have been able to sell it for same price unless you did all the work they did.

It's all speculation. If he finds a buyer, then good for him. If he doesn't (without putting a lot more work in) then good for you.

I agree. It's all speculation. A buyer may buy a site or a domain because ' it looks good ' and some CA$H COW sites doesn't sell for 1 month of income...

Could sell that site for $5,000 if the right buyer wanted it ... or might not be able to get rid of it for reg fee.

I would say it's very unprofessional of you to announce the name of the site and it's history. A domain sale usually has an implied anonymity or secrecy with it.

They have spent money to buy from you and are now trying to get a return on their investment. If you want to comment on the sale you should have left out the domain name.

that's my U$17.29 on the subject. (and yes I do value my own opinion more than 0.2c :))

Well, you have your opinion that you apparently value more than 0.2c and I have mine. I wanted advice from other DP domainers, so I had to list the domain name. I dont consider it unprofessional at all. How do you figure?? Whatever, I dont know why people tend to post their opinions rather than respond to the OP. Its getting ridiculous here!
Thats my US $105.00 Thankyou very much.

Well you made a fair trade with these people and at the time you were satisfied with the deal.. There is no doubt that mentioning the name in this thread will decrease the value of the name.. Luckily you dident put the name in the thread headline, often you will find such a thread at DP outranking the site itself on google.

So I have to agree with EMPservice it is unproffesional of you to mention the deal and prices when you are no longer the owner of said name. If you wanted you could have masked the name quite easily by putting extra dots or () around the dot. But as in all things you live and you learn..

As a final remark.. You should be happy with the price you got..

Geeze, I wasnt complaining about the price I got for it I was only asking whether or not everyone thought that it was worth the price they had it listed for at sedo.

You could buy it back and sell it for a higher profit ;)

Seriously speaking, if they are people willing to think the domain is worth $1.5K, they will buy it. Not too sure whether the domain is worth that price, but then to each his own

And people are just trying to teach you a bit of the etiquette pertaining to doing domain business.. Dont get upset because people took the time to let you know that you were outside of what is considered okay to do.. Post sale wise..

Live and learn..

Dont feel bad, NOBODY is going to buy a domain without a thought in their head that at some point in time they are going to sell it for more than what they paid for. NEVER. Be happy that you got $1500 and turn away from it :) Its all you can do. I sold REQS.com for $3600 (paid $485 for it) and I was happy with that. Now its for sale for $60,000. Do I think they will get that for it? No. But if they did would I be upset? Maybe a little but thats business. :)

Hey can i post my 2 cents opinion, do you think values for a commodity remain the same always ? You should get your answer right there. :D Enjoy the deep thinking now.

I agree too. It's ridiculous the way people are going gaga for i- domains.
I'd a friend do that too recently...
