Hello Guys, I am not sure if this is the best category to ask this question.
I want to know if submitting articles is a job you can do yourself, or is paying someone to do it is more practicle !
Is it as time consuming as submitting your site to regular directories?
And how many article directories is good enough ?
Thanks in advance guys.

1$ in the USA is worth alot less then 1$ in India or Pakistan. So Indian can ask less and still maintain lifestyle.

The only reason I was asking is because it can get expensive if you need alot of articles written and then submitted.
If it is 1 article, it is fine to have it written and submitted, for 2 seperate charges, but if you need 50 articles, then you have to pay a fee for the writting and then another fee per article for the submissions. so it gets expensive.
But I guess its either time or money.

You're correct. Quality article writing and submission takes time. Either yours or someone elses.
Normally when first starting out, a person has the time. Then as the become busier, they have the money to pay other people to do it.
BTW, I love article marketer. I pay by the year and can submit as many articles as I want, which is a lot ;)

If you are going to submit 1-3 articles, you'd better use professional services offered on DP.
But if it is about 30 or more - I'd suggest you doing yourself because it really gets expensive on volumes.

Time consuming is mainly the thing, but knowadays you've got software that can send it automatically to various article directories.

I am always using Article post robot and I do recommend it. Using it you will only have to write the articles, which will take you less and less time with practice.
I am writing one article in 5-6 minutes right now. I used to spend a few hours for one article and no, I don't sacrifice the quality of the articles.
In the same time, if you have something more productive to do just outsource the article writing and distribution, the productive thing you do in the meantime will pay for the article writing and distribution and hopefully will give you some profit also.

I can offer submission to major directories at $30.00 per article, I will also guarantee acceptance of your article within well known article deposits such as www.ezinearticles.com and many others. PM me for more details and also what you had in mind, what type of article you are interested in publishing, etc.

I've never used automated submission software/services.
I personally found automated article submission a bit unreliable.
Also to avoid duplicate content I rewrite my articles for each directory I submit to, so I submit a unique copy to every directory. Maybe I'm out of the loop, but doesn't automated submission send the same article to X amount of directories?
Anyway as far as how many directories you send to, some people believe that the days of submitting the same article to hundreds of directories is long gone because of duplicate content penalties. I personally focus on around 20 high quality article directories, though I know I submit to more than that.

Thanks for the great input guys,
The thing is, you have to write an article for your site, then you have to re-write for an article directory, and if you guys are saying it should be re-written for each article direcotry, that will take an enourmous amount of time for just 1 article, plus all its versions !!!
I understand the deal with duplicate content, but I also see G-oo-gle breaking its own rules, I see many sites ranking top for keywords and I know 100% they have dup content.
Also, all these lyrics sites, all have dup content, because lyrics dont change, but they all rank. But ofcourse dup content is just 1 factor, I think other big factors combined together can come over the dup content issue.
