I think it's too long an inconvenient.
Just use the coupon code and save a buck

You can use "HASH3" to save $2 on each name. I used it a few weeks ago, it should still work.

Thanks for sharing that. As someone who buys most of her names off either godaddy or domainsite this is really useful info!

anyone know of a website that has a list of all the coupons/deals from all the registrars ? I remember seeing a few sites like that in the past which were very useful.

Thanks for the tip!:D I'll give it a try when I renew one of my domains. As for more godaddy coupons, there is a thread here on digital point with a bunch: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=302518&highlight=godaddy+code

It really doesn't seem that complicated. You just check a box for an extra product and then cancel it after your purchase. Sometimes saving money takes a few extra steps.:D

It's a really long post and seems really complicated for me to comprehend lol, so does it actually work for someone and can someone simplify this for me? What do I have to do to get a domain cheaper? tks :)

Basically when you're checking out you sign up for the extra service "Build your Own Website" and this gives you a discount. You also put in some godaddy coupon code and save with that as well. After you've checked out and paid you just cancel the extra service.
Did I simplify it enough?:D
