What is more it doesn't have directories dominating the results like Google does.

Oh... #1 / 306,234,065 for a fairly new site of mine... :)
It's a PR5 in google, and not even close to the top.
Is m$ trying to get the SEO:ers on their side? :)

It worked for me, they bought me with good SERPS. It shows hard work paying off quick, that makes a lot of us happy. :)

Also, have you used the link: feature?
I've used the link:http://www.sprinttotal.com and it shows me links to my website that where added last week, 3 days ago (forum posts) and old links (that are online for 4 years or so) that Google doesn't show...
Damn, MSN Search is powful

Don't know what happened but I lost all my rankings. Can't find my site on the first pages for any of the keywords it was #1 before :(
It's probably because I changed the title of the main page :(

Wow, I really like it this time. The last time I tried it, I couldn't see any high rankings.
Now I'm number 6 for a keyword I've been aiming to for ages, number 2 for another hard to get one, and number 1 out of 250 million pages for another.
Just hope it stays like this.

same here, I have some pretty high ranking for very competitive keywords. But I'm nowhere to be found on the old msn. When is Bill going to launch it?

Microsoft fixes date for desktop search tool (and sounds like the new search engine as well) - THIS YEAR.
"In terms of search, we should see some good MSN search technology in this calendar year, probably late the second half," John Connors, Microsoft's chief financial officer, said in the conference call.
"Late second half"
doesn't that mean sometime in the next 67 days? Bring it on! I like what I see. :) :D :) :D

That's so great. My google-sandboxed domain kicks ass in the msn serps!!!

I like the new preview. My team and I have 4 of the top 10 listings for our primary key phrases. I also see the new results not to sound bias as being more relevent then Google.
I did a little research, it wasnt much but I took 4 cities in the real estate industry and search google for their primary key phrase and out of the top 20 only 8 real estate agent websites were listed in each of those markets. The rest were directories or newspapers or just junk. I even found one listing that was an online drug stroe coming up in top 10 for real estate.
I think G is under the gun right now and if they keep playing with the results as they have MSN will become the dominate SE.

Microsoft either doesn't have the web page "history" needed to implement a sandbox or they don't have the "resources" to adequately create one.

Is there really a need for a sandbox? I mean, why should a new page be penalized. New pages should at least show up in the search engine, but perhaps lower in the SERPS until links (votes) to said pages are updated and the pages keep climbing.
And this is Microsoft, they have the resources to create one. It's whether or not they chose to do it.
It seems to me that anchor text and spam links are what are causing the pages to rank so high. I'd say wait until the engine matures and the algo is tweaked after it goes live to get a less spammy result.

I like it right now, I am doing so well and my back links are way way more than googles. Hope it stays the same ;)

I am very pleased with the results I'm getting from the MSN preview. Got many first page positions, several on top. No. 15 for the highly competitive keyphrase "Webmaster Resources". I wish they will keep the present algo when it goes live :)
Regarding the IBLs reported, I Love It. Stupid G reports only 42 BLs for webresource dot org. MSN preview reports 10,328. TLDTrader dot com has only 33 IBLs reported by G, MSN returns 5,750 :D
C'mon MSN, make me happy :D

It is about the same difference for my site in backlinks, its ridiculous the amount.

And for those on a sitewide link exchange, the "site:www.yourlinkpartner.com link:www.yourdomain.com" command shows the number of pages where your links are :)
