Ahhh article submission can be frustrating.

I just looked through three pages of results from an article I submitted a week or 2 ago; most results were just the first paragraph and nothing else; or the first paragraph and a link back to the rest of the article at article dashboard (so I don't get an extra link to my site) or asshats who put the whole article up and disable the links.

Well, thats part of the game.

When your article gets accepted by article directory, NEW page is created for it. This is different from directory submission: your link is added to existing page.
So Google will need more than 2 weeks to crawl your article.
