Impossible to get listed?!

I got listed on Google and MSN (#3 and #2 for my favorite keyword respectively)

But Yahoo is taking 4-5 times longer! Still hasn't indexed...

Why?!

And I only submitted once to Yahoo (only once to all of them), should I submit again?

How often is submittable without being punished?

you shouldn't have to submit to search engines. Just get links to your site and it will be spidered.

I know, I got into google (ranked #3 for my keyword) within 24 hours of creating the site, and msn (#2) 28 hours later, but 100 hours later Yahoo is still lagging...

I just mean to ask if most people have experienced Yahoo being the slowest, or slower than the other search engines?

Yes Y! is slow to spider you. Then again they also have a pay for inclusion system.

You can submit any number of times you wish...but it doesnt make any difference.

If sites got punished for over submission , then everybody would be busy submitting their competitors' sites.

Getting one quality link is better than submitting a site 100 times ( DP signature is usually good enough to get a site indexed fast )

yahoo is slow on spider your website, from my experience, it takes about 2 weeks.

correct me if i am wrong.

How long have you had this site (and) weird....

My new site (2 weeks) is indexed and ranks well in Yahoo but other older sites are not. They have about the same amount of links (same quality) and all were submitted manually. Content is also fairly close. The only thing I can think of is that I created a couple of pages for this new site but did not get the other ones on the server until 1 week later so there should have been broken links on these pages. I did not submit the site until I finished it and did not have any links to it but Yahoo found it and ranked it!!! After I finished it just got better... I don't know it's weird… wish the other sites will get in top 10 too :D

The spiders can read your server logs if they are not protected. so be careful.

It has always taken longer for me to get listed in Yahoo too.
