Organic visitors are people who found your site naturally, meaning through Search Engines. You did not pay for them to get there (PPC), and they did not click a link on another website (referral).
The best way to get 500 people? Develop original content and use SEO techniques to drive traffic to your site. You can also use services like AdWords to drive alternative traffic. Develop links as well. Then rinse and repeat. Continually developing content is key to the overall growth and success of your website.

500 unique visitors is possible, I think every senior here can do that. But when you are searching for 10,000 visitors daily, that is hard.

Thanks for the replies guys
Ok, so correct me if I am wrong, organic visitors can be obtain from links from directories, forum signatures, articles, blogs etc ??
Can you guys point out any methods , like SEO techniques or any related articles. I would appricate it!:)
And one more thing, as you know I was talking about 500 unique visitors to the site, How much Do I need to spend for that and how long will it take to get that amount of visitors. Someone told me that I can get that amount around $ 200. Is that possible???
Thanks for the support

it's possible to recieve it. i think you can get it from social bookmark sites easyly
gordano
Jul 4th 2007, 1:55 pm
It also depends on what the subject is. As trichnosis says you can easily get traffic from social bookmarking but is this traffic what you want? Re other comments made about good seo and content ... this is how you will pull organic traffic to your site, traffic that has come to your site becuase of the content.
My only other advice is choose your key words and phrases to target traffic, then optimise on these phrases so that you rank well in search engines.
500 uniques a day is not that difficult, getting 1000s a day is more of a challenge - if its traffic that relates to your content.

Personally I think 500 visits day isn't that good, once you get there you'll see. There are many ways to archive that amount of traffic but the best is still the hardest, create good content. What is your site about?

Put high quality unique contents and use social bookmarking sites. Also optimize your site structure to make it SEO friendly. You will get positive results soon.

500 unique visitors a day are not that difficult.
Find a fairly popular niche, write some good content and you're there in no time.
Organic traffic is traffic from search engines.

It is completely possible. I have two article sites one receives 515 unique visitors a day and the other 600 unique visitors a day. I do not pay for traffic this is totally organic. Keep building links, build, build, build.

Just write loads and loads of really good content. Use keyword tools to find the topics you need.
Write some more. Use google analytics to keep an eye on what is working well. Write some more.
Compare your content rich site to others in the DMOZ directory. When you think you are better than the average page submit to DMOZ. Cross fingers.
Learn other SEO later or on your breaks between writing.

This is what I do for both article sites.
Monday
Begin writing 2 articles for each site. So I write 4 articles.
Tuesday
Finish writing articles around lunch.
Submit sites to directories (this is an ongoing process)
Post to blogs (this is an ongoing process)
post to forums
Wednesday
Articles are finished
Research keywords I am going to use for my anchor tags when distributing my articles
Distribute articles using articlemarketer and articel post robot.
Submit articles on my article sites to rss sites
Submit sites to directories (this is an ongoing process)
Post to blogs (this is an ongoing process)
post to forums
Thursday
formulate new topics for next weeks articles
Submit sites to directories (this is an ongoing process)
Post to blogs (this is an ongoing process)
Link exchange (don't reallly like this but I do it)
Friday
formulate new topics for next weeks articles
Submit sites to directories (this is an ongoing process)
Post to blogs (this is an ongoing process)
Link exchange (don't reallly like this but I do it)
Saturday Sunday
rest
answer email
design new sites
I hope this helps. I use articlemarketer because they continually send my articles out when new article sites join them.
One more thing, it is going to feel like nothing is happening, no rank in the search engines, I did not see any results for about 4 weeks, after 8 weeks it got better, after 6 months it took off.
Don't give up.

I agree content is very important. These are article sites, content is submitted to my sites and I approve the articles. If something is not good it is denied. I make sure the content I receive is good quality content.

That is a very good thing would be better if everyone toke that much care into there content.
I generally write all of my content though I do have a few gaming sites where 5 or so other people do most of the content right up.

500 a day is a good start but with some time you can get way more than that.
Part of it depends on how many people are interested in your niche, find out what topics they want to read about and provide them with that info.

Dear Friends, we should understand difference between visitors and customers. Also, it is very important what kind of product or service you sell.
Example, if you sell items per 500 dollars each, I think one customer will be enough for whole days, however if you sell pens.....
Secondly, if you need visitors - just buy traffic - it is easy and quickly

four years ago I would not of agreed with you about the traffic, but working extensively in different fieldas, I have learned, service based companies that charge say $60 base or more per sale only need aa few converted leads a week to make a return on the investment and be a valuable tool in there sales team.
On the other hand florists need that many conversions a day to make the investment worthwhile.
Granted I have never paid for traffic, well directly anyway. So I don't know how good a tool that is.

Hi,
about traffic / costumers.
I run a webshop and did some tests.
when I start I had a Alexa of about 700.000 and 2 month's later it is 527.000
To get traffic is not so difficult , but good traffic and costumers is harder to get.
I open a GameContest on my website , everything Free and give 3 money prices away every 2 weeks.
Within 1 month I had 350 registrated game users.
The money I pay was from my profit.
My sale's went crazy high last June , so it worked out well for me.
I allso started to post on blog's.
And advertise with it on free site's
By the way my page rank is 0
But have no advertise on my website , just a link exchange.

Here's what I have done to get to an average of about 1,100 unique visitors daily to my nonprofit site:
• Write original content. I keep adding pages personally written by me, none of them duplicates or near-duplicates of any other pages.
• Write content for the "niche" I am aiming at — that is, Pentecostal religion and beliefs, versus Catholic, Protestant, or Orthodox.
• Optimize each page for certain keywords. For example, use the keyword(s) in the url (......./keyword(s).html), the title, and in the text of the page.
• Submit to directories, both paid and free. Use a variety of keywords as "anchor text" in those submissions.
• I have sent personal emails to hundreds (perhaps by now thousands) of Pentecostal pastors and seminary professors introducing the website. That has been instrumental in establishing a loyal readership of about 140 repeat visitors daily.
• I use Digital Point's "Keyword Suggestion" tool very aggressively. It is very helpful in finding the keywords for which people are searching. For example, I had written a page with a certain title. Well, using the Keyword Suggestion tool, I found that there were virtually zero daily searches for that keyword. But the tool revealed another relevant keyword that I was able to substitute into the title, and for that KW there are nearly 8,000 daily searches on the internet! I get lots of visitors to that page because of that improved choice of keywords.

The best way is to build your links and do SEO. It's really as simple as that, also making sure you have good updated content is also very good so that you also get returning traffic.

Ok what do you guys think is the best if you have two options.
1000 directories submission or 1000 Search engine submission
Which one will work better, sooner and is effective and why?
Thanks all for your kind participation.

"Ok what do you guys think is the best if you have two options.
1000 directories submission or 1000 Search engine submission"
You should not have to submit 1000 pages to the search engines, use a sitemap.txt and submit it via the google web master tools and this list will get communicated to Google, plus Yahoo and other search engine spiders will look for it also. But then you do not even have to do that if the search engines already know about your page and the internal page links trickle down well/you have a html sitemap. Perhaps just submit your home page to google/yahoo/ask/msn/
1000 directories may not be the best use of your time. Target the top directories and prepare your page to make it worth of suggesting to the DMOZ directory. Also look for Niche directories.
Massing links from on topic pages is better than the directories so do a search for "keyword add url" and spend your time on those first. Throw in a few links from forums, blogs, article directories, squidoo and it's clones to balance it all out.

Don't bother submitting to search engines. Get good links and the search engines will find you easily. Submitting to search engines is essentially a waste of time. But do submit your sitemap.xml page to Google Webmaster Tools and to Yahoo! Site Explorer.
Directory submissions are helpful. Keep at it.
