Has anyone seen the new Yahoo Site Maps? If you visit the page http://submit.search.yahoo.com/free/request you can specify a TXT file that contains urls to all of your webpages. I think this makes it easier for Yahoo to find your webpages than trying to spider through them. Unlike Google Site Maps, Yahoo will only read this file once.

you need to make a list if you want to submit more than one domain. but you can try to put in to that list every page of one site. try :)

It seems you can submit each url in a single website. There is an article that explains this at http://www.homebusinesscreation.com/blog/2005/09/introducing-yahoo-sitemaps.html

Keep in mind that the Yahoo Sitemap is fairly new and Yahoo does not updated the indexes instantly. It may take a long time to see results.

if I'm not wrong, content of text file = sitemap.html ?

IMO, it is just the same if you submit your sitemap or much better if you dont submit and just get a link from a high pr site that point to your sitemap. ;)

Actually Yahoo doesn't care about PR but that is a good idea.

I tried it last month, but I can’t say I noticed anything very different from the norm.
But it is fairly easy to maintain, so every so often, I updated the txt file.

I tried using this Yahoo online generator and it seems to be ok.

I found it by accident and I am not connected to it in any way.

I have been using http://www.auditmypc.com/free-sitemap-generator.asp for both Google and Yahoo without any problems.
It is free and I am also not connected to them.

It helped me or so I believe. I had my site not having any pages indexed, to having the main page to no pages.. now I have 500 plus pages indexed and it all started around the time I submitted a yahoo text file sitemap.

barre careful you spelled ridiculous incorrectly might be another red mark, (sorry this lowly peon couldnt resist :)

... actually i am interested in hearing the results, i've always been afraid to submit and just wait for them to get found but i have got quite a few sites im launching that would speed the process greatly if the results are good,

but i still google sitemap is better!!

Personally I haven’t found Yahoo or Google to be that great. I have yet to see a noticeable impact from either.

Why do you say that Google is better than Yahoo?
