Hi,

I'm very much the newb to this side of things. I just want to add an RSS news feed on the homepage of a site. The hosting provider offers:
Drupal
Geeklog
Mambo Open Source
PHP-Nuke
phpWCMS
phpWebSite
Post-Nuke
Siteframe
TYPO3
Xoops
Which is the best to use? all I want is a very simple news feed which is automatically updated daily, which I can just leave alone once set up, so i dont need anything fancy.

Or is there an easier way of doing it without using any of these, bearing in mind that my requirement is very simple?

Thanks,

Steve,

There is a much simpler way using just MagpieRSS and a bit of PHP. Checkout the Hungry Penguin in my signature, the main page is doing exactly what you are asking for. I have written an article how to add RSS feeds to your web site using MagpieRSS (http://www.hungrypenguin.net/magpie.php?TB=2)

If you need consultancy/programming help, I can do this work for you for a small fee.

Thanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,

Thanks for that, although it's not out of the question that I will need to come back to you. I'll try it myself first though.

I would probably use a CMS system like DragonflyCMS...
