Yes Google needs an editor

Let us keep a vigil on this page to see when they will rectify these errors!

absolutely, but for a billion dollar company I think it's unacceptable, also why has it not been fixed yet, it's not like that page was just added today.

its not a spelling error...I can see how someone could easily overlook that

RobertD
Jun 28th 2007, 10:36 am
they have so much focus on paid links that they cannot put any effort into proof reading their pages for grammar mistakes! :D

i doubt that cause it's just a simple, little mistake! and everyone makes mistakes! even GOOGLE!

how Google live up the pages with out proofread. if they write in word, even then also word gives the error of duplicate para or words.

I agree that every one do the mistakes, but its not fare, if it passes through many editors.

we have to report to Matt Cutts!
let's not do that! i say let's wait and see how long does it take for them to realize it! and it's not something that important so that if we don't anything happens!

yes, but at that level it's a pretty big mistake, and the fact that no one has realized it yet is pretty sad.

i don't think it's that big but even it was i think google's mood is more friendly than strict boss and employee mood.but the fact that they haven't realized it is kinda sad!but yet it's a pretty huge site and i don't think they would check all their text to look for mistakes(after submitting!) they'll probably find it sooner or later! but again i say instead of reporting it let's wait and see how long does it take for them to realize it!

Yep. It's been fixed.

The original duplicate pointed out has been fixed, however, there is still an error in the grammar... it should read:

Google works hard to ensure that it fully discounts links intended to manipulate search engine results, such as link exchanges and purchased links.

You never know - google may just have left it in as link bait to pick up some link love - so they didn't lose any serps after discounting their own paid links :P
