Chitika and forums?

Has anyone tried to use Chitika on their forums? How was the targetting for each thread? CTR worse, the same, better than adsense? Any examples of placement?

I'll have to try that sometime once my forum launches. I have adsense there now, but would be more than happy to try chitika once I launch it =)

I don't mean to be sarcastic, but that shoemoney guy claims on that page he is making 700 bucks a day?

Not with the forum that is linked in the article, that's for sure:

I averaged 700$/day last week for FORUM sites.
Claymation: I think he meant that he ran the ads on several forums. :)

Also mentions 5 figure days.....but not sure which sites he's monetizing.
Seeing as shoemoney is a member here, perhaps he can enlighten us on the issue a bit? ; )

It's very possible to make $700 a day with Chitika, but with that many members, I doubt it, they don't look too active either..

Shoemoney has multiple sites and multiple corporations. I am quite sure his figures are an aggregate.

I think its Possible.
Because Chitika ads are Tooo Beautiful and people click it easily.

I tried it on my forums for a few days. Normally I'd expect a huge load of clicks with the members being interested in them but I didn't get much reaction at all. I got about 20% of the clicks I got using adsense. Admittedly the cost per click was good but with such a low CTR, it hasn't made sense for me to continue using it like that.

Yeah, I had almost 700 impressions in forums yesterday and got zero clicks.
Not blaming Chitika- I'd love to see it work!
I'll just keep pounding away.....

Yeah, I'm wondering what placements work best for people, without taking much away from Adsense... maybe at the bottom of threads?
