Well, this week was a good week. A change in ad placement took my chitika CTR to the top. 10% higher CTR than adsense. In fact, I am having the highest CTR I have ever had, with any ad, ever.

This is insane.

Who cares about CTR? It is the $$ that counts.

What kind of keywords are you using and what kind of site are you running to get these high click rates?

It's a tech site which focuses on reviews. The chitika ad shows a picture of the last product I reviewed in the banner. I noticed that the CTR shot up after a review of that product, so I made that review static with all new reviews below it.

If that makes sense?

Are you also showing adsense banners on your pages, or just chitika?

Adsense is on the site as well. In fact, I took down one of my adsense banners to make room for the chitika banner.

So far everyone has said chitika pays better than adsense, but you earn less than adsense because of a poor click thru rate... So if you end up finding a way to get a better click thru rate with chitika than adsense, you make more money for that same adspace....

But who cares about CTR.

i started using chitika yesterday, so far nothing on the reporting page yet... but i hope it works out better than adsense... for me, adsense started out very well, but the rates per click has dropped tremendously in my case... :(
