JAVA / J2EE Developer in the UK or Israel, how much?

I am with a firm who may be looking to hire a full time java developer based either in the UK or Israel office. What how much would we need to offer to get someone with about 3-5 years experience in the field? Having a bias towards e-com would be an asset too.

Hiring a freelancer on contact basic will be cheaper option.
