A friend of mine runs a phpBB forum. They got hacked because they didn't upgrade.
They have an old backup in sql-file from 2004.
I tried to upload this backup through a MySQL Tool.
Problem: There is an error in the Syntax making errors fly up and transfer end.
The sql-file is at 180 mb in size, and stops loading in Notepad or any other software at 60+ mb making it impossible for me to go in and just correct the one error and continue uploading.
The parts I need are the tables: phpbb_topics and phpbb_topics_watch and sadly, they're at the way bottom, way past where it allows me to get to.
Suggestions anyone?
My original plan was to have the current user-base (which the hacker left somewhat intact) and match it with the old posts and topics from the old backup. The forum has over 4500 members and the hacker emptied out all the posts for some dimwitted reason.
